  • Turner: The Visionary - National Gallery of Ireland
    For the month of January 2020, the National Gallery of Ireland displays its annual Turner exhibition at. This year, watercolours by J.M.W. Turner (1775–1851) are complemented by a broad range of works by some twenty artists who were inspired by him. 1–31 January 2020.
  • Important drawing by Andrea Mantegna for sale
    Sotheby’s will offer one of the most art-historically important drawings ever to appear at auction: Andrea Mantegna’s only known preparatory drawing for one of the canvases in the ‘Triumphs of Caesar’, will headline Sotheby’s Old Master Drawings auction in New York on the 29th of January 2020, and it is estimated to fetch in excess of $12 million.
  • Caribbean Art at the Metropolitan Museum
    The Metropolitan Museum of Art presents ‘Arte del mar: Artistic Exchange in the Caribbean’, an exhibition highlighting the artistic exchange that took place around the rim of the Caribbean Sea before the 16th century. December 16, 2019–January 10, 2021.

    The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) presents ‘Fiji: Art and Life in the Pacific’, the first substantial project on the art of Fiji to be mounted in the U.S. December 15 – July 19, 2020.
  • Norman Rockwell: American Freedom – MFAH
    The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, presents ‘Norman Rockwell: American Freedom’. The presentation is the first comprehensive exhibition devoted to Norman Rockwell’s iconic depictions of FDR’s Four Freedoms— Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Fear, and Freedom from Want. December 15, 2019, through March 22, 2020.
  • Pierre Soulages at the Louvre

  • The Wigmore Gift at the Met
